This Dixon B16 series brass steam quick disconnect coupler has a female NPT threaded end, poppet valve, two ethylene propylene O-rings, and connects to a steam quick disconnect plug. The female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded connection end connects with male NPT connections. Brass provides corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability, the stainless steel springs and locking balls resist scaling and corrosion, the plated steel sleeve resists corrosion, and the ethylene propylene O-rings resist ozone and weather in water and steam usage. The poppet-style shut-off valve prevents fluid loss when disconnected, and the ethylene propylene O-rings provide protection against leaks. This coupler has a maximum working pressure (MWP) of 100 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) (6.80 bar) saturated steam (338 degrees F). The large plated steel sleeve is designed to be operated by gloved hands. This coupler is designed for steam applications in industrial operations.
